Galicia in Budapest participates in a seminar on the land market and land consolidation

A delegation of the Ministry of Rural e do Mar has involved these days in Budapest in a European seminar discussion on the development of the land market and land consolidation restructuring processes in different European countries.
It has informed the department heads acting Rosa Quintana, who has detailed, along with the delegation of the Department, participated in the meeting of the Technical University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), specializing in land management.
In these sessions, which have been developed along this week, analyzed various methodologies used in the different participating countries, such as the right time to mobilize the land market, restructure the ownership of the same through the processes land consolidation, or effectiveness in establishing productive Molos in the territory.
Thus, besides the Galician experience, have been able to know the Budapest experience on land consolidation processes in countries such as Germany, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine, Belgium and Hungary, among others.
They have also been analyzed the role to be played by the land market as a factor in European rural development, and the value of land banks as effective tools to streamline the land use, promoting their mobility and favoring the enhancement of the territory as an essential element of rural economic development.
Specifically, a total of 31 countries participated in this Workshop organized by Organization for Food and Agriculture of the United Nations (FAO) and the cooperation network 'Farland', which is part representing Galicia Spain .
