Eutelsat signs an agreement with RG Networks to provide satellite broadband in Hungary

The satellite operator Eutelsat Communications, through its subsidiary Skylogic, has signed a distribution agreement with the Hungarian company specialized in Information Technology RG Networks for users and companies in Hungary can enjoy the broadband services via Internet its satellite 'KA-SAT'.
Thus, RG Networks, which started marketing Internet services via satellite 'KA-SAT' in early April under the brand 'vanNET', aims to meet the Hungarian government's commitment to offer high-speed Internet to all citizens before the end of 2013, as provided in the Directive of the European Union.
Specifically, RG Networks expects to connect to broadband Internet service to more than 2,000 users taking advantage of the capabilities of the satellite 'KA-SAT' and offer speeds up to 10 megabytes per second (Mbps) downstream and 4 Mbps upstream.
With a total capacity of 70 gigabytes per second (Gbps), the satellite of 'KA-SAT' Eutelsat is ushering in a "new era" of satellite Internet services at competitive prices for homes and businesses throughout Europe and the Mediterranean basin.
