Sports Editor, July 3 (EFE) .- The Spanish Albert Costa (Epic Racing) was ranked second in the second race of the Formula Renault 3.5, belonging to the World Series of racing, played at the Hungaroring, near Budapest, while the winner, Frenchman Jean Eric Vergne (Carlin), is the new overall leader.
A Vergne has gone all round this weekend. It was the fastest in both sessions of collective testing on Saturday won a pole position and won both races. Thus, the French leading the championship.
Albert Costa and Briton Adam Carroll (P1 Motorsport) completed the podium. It benefited from a penalty inflicted on the Spanish also Sergio Canamasas (BVM Target), who took the race from pole. and the Canadian Robert Wickens (Carlin).
Both finished the race in second and third positions, but the penalty relegated them to fourth and seventh, respectively. Wickens Canamasas and were punished for not respecting the right of way on the street of garages.
Vergne leads the overall with four points ahead of Wickens. The next appointment is August 20 at Silverstone (Great Britain).
