Reservations for the second quarter to expand the profit margin of Danubius hotels
The chain Danubius Hotel Hungary, which owns hotels in the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Romania and Slovakia, as well as those located in Budapest and other cities of Hungary, made a net profit of 855 million forints in the second quarter of 2011.
Sales increased 4% to HUF 11,950 million and room revenues rose 4% to EUR 6,000 million and catering revenues increased 7% to 3,600 million forints.
Total operating costs increased at a slower pace to exceed 2% and reaching 10,830 million to achieve an operating profit of 31% (1,130 million).
