Budapest Airport plans to open a 200-room hotel at a cost of 25 million euros.
Airport operator Budapest Liszt Ferenc International plans to close an agreement with an investor next year to build a luxury hotel near the Airport Terminal 2B, according to business daily Világgazdaság.
Világgazdaság said the new hotel is part of a development plan of 300 million slated for completion in the next ten or fifteen years. The plan includes construction of an air cargo transfer, the first phase of 14 billion could be completed next year, a new hangar for testing motors, and the new headquarters for the Hungarian national carrier Malév.
The investment would create 10,000 new jobs, in addition to the current 12,000 jobs at the airport.
