Técnicas Reunidas has been awarded the construction of a power plant in Hungary for an amount of 455 million euros, the company said.
This is Százhalombatta construction of a central gas turbine combined cycle, a project that reinforces the company's presence it has in this country, which is present since 1993.
The contract covers project management, engineering, procurement and construction of a gas turbine power with an installed capacity of 860 megawatts (MW).
According to Técnicas Reunidas, the plant, which should be completed in 2015, will have one of the most modern technologies in power generation with high efficiency and low marginal cost.
The company will execute this project for a joint venture formed by the group MOL oil and gas company in Central Europe, and services firm CEZ.
