The Spanish tennis player Anabel Medina has complied with the odds by qualifying for the quarterfinals of the Budapest tournament, scoring for the WTA and distributed $ 220,000 in prize money (about 152,000 euros) at the expense of the Ukrainian Tsurenko Lesia.
The torrentinos won 6-2, 7-5 to Tsurenko, 129 of the world, in a game that suffered greatly in the closing stages allowing the Ukrainian tie at 5 when pulled to win the game.
In the next round, Valencia, who signed a 80 percent success rate with the first service, expected to rival the duel between Italy's Sara Errani and Switzerland's Stefanie Voegele.
