Larumbe Dance Company will participate in the International Arts Festival Movement Tenerife (FAM'11), world premiere next Tuesday at the Theater Mu in Budapest (Hungary) the show 'the other side of me ... The dancers Daniela Merlo, Barbara Alvarado, Juan de Torres and Ricardo Flores will be the stars of this piece, whose choreography has been designed by Daniela Merlo (Larumbe Dance choreographer), Barbara Allen and Ricardo Flores (Aletheia choreographers). 'On the other side of me ...' is a co-Larumbe and Aletheia Mexico Scenic Corps, an independent company and resident at the National Center of Contemporary Dance CENADAC Queretaro, with special guest director of the Festival of Buenos Aires VideoDanzaBA, Silvina Szperling.
The book 'On the other side of me ...' leverage poses the disadvantage of the thousands of miles from land and sea that separate the three bodies involved in the project, working on the idea of distance and researching what is furrowed, from both a practical (travel) and the mood, as well as its relativity.
The philosophy of job creation and Larumbe Dance - a company resident in the town of Coslada (Madrid) - includes communication, diversification and the establishment of connections with the idiosyncrasies of people and artists from every place, every Countries visited on their tours. And is that one of its main objectives is to discover common points of interest and reciprocal to, over time, become initiatives and joint projects.
The company's unique style comes from the eclectic training Larumbe Karmen transmitted to their heirs and current artistic directors of the company for almost fifteen years, Juan de Torres and Daniela Merlo. Larumbe's career has always been in constant research in language and creative staff, and promote and work and the industry through activities ranging from exchange companies and choreographers, conferences and debates and formation of new public nationally and internationally.
His work explores the way of expression through their research and events beyond the merely artistic, making the viewer as well as entertain, reflect and learn both the possibilities of dance language and new ways of approaching reality.
FAM'11, I find that goes beyond dance and discover new and innovative proposals on the bodies and the movement has been programmed in different areas of the Auditorio de Tenerife Adán Martín, Teatro Guimerá, in the Sala de Arte La Recova , School Actors Theatre Canary Islands and Victoria over a fortnight of performances by local and foreign companies as well as numerous parallel actions.
