The German car firm Audi has initiated activities to expand its plant in Györ (Hungary), for which it will invest 900 million euros and will serve to create 300 new jobs, the company said in a statement.

"This investment means we are increasing our international competitiveness and ensuring jobs are in all our locations, including Germany," said the head of the corporation.
The subsidiary of the Volkswagen group stressed that the expansion of production facility in Györ will boost economic development in Hungary and the region as it will create 2,100 jobs in the "long term".
Also, the German company said that 15,000 people will benefit directly or indirectly from the operations of Audi in Hungary once you complete the expansion works of this factory.
